Fresh and Fancy

Yesterday I played along with two of my favorite challenges.  This week PPA (click HERE) challenged us to dress up our project and make it fancy.  They wanted us Puttin' on the Ritz like Fred Astaire.

The team over at Freshly Made Sketches (click HERE) had a great sketch this week.  Check it out:

So, I combined the two and came up with this card:

I'm a big fan of the standard (A2) size card, so I took a few liberties with the FMS sketch and opted out of the square.  I dressed up the owls with a little bling here and glimmer there.  I'd say this pair is definitely Puttin' on the Ritz!!  I decided not to add a sentiment.  This might be a fun holiday card or I may save it for an anniversary or even Valentine's Day. 

Here's what I used to make this card:
Paper:  Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Early Espresso and Whisper White CS, Silver Glimmer, Deck the Halls DSP (retired)
Ink: Cherry Cobbler (sponged around the white rectangle), Versamark
Stamps:  None - can you believe it?!?!
Other:  Owl Punch, Bird Punch, Basic Rhinestones, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon, Mini Glue Dots, Dimensionals
